I am so disappointed that I didn’t learn about BigToes Australia and their awesome baby and toddler shoes sooner!
Harper aged 2 fits the largest size currently available and is totally in LOVE with her two pairs of BigToes (Polka Chameleon and Lovely Bear – Pink). Fletcher 4 years old with big size 11 toddler feet was in tears when he found out he would not receive his own pair of brightly coloured BigToes!
I love them too. They are so easy to put on and there is never a complaint from Harper when I try. The only decision is which pair to put on. They are machine washable and I now have less missing socks from one child this winter!
Harper’s kindy teachers also commented on the shoes saying how wonderful not to have to worry about both socks and shoes!
My only fear is that I may have created a life-long shoe fetish for my daughter. Thankfully she is too young to check out the BigToes full range on their website otherwise we might create the Imelda Marcos of BigToes Australia and my bank balance would be a lot smaller!
Warning: When you visit the BigToes Australia website and check out their range (and you should, go take a look) you will struggle to pick just one pair from their range. Rest assured, no matter how many pairs you purchase, you will not be disappointed. We weren’t – we were and still are delighted with our BigToes Australia toddler shoes.
The BigToes Australia Story:
BigToes Australia Owner Rebecca (Bec) Burke lives in Pimpama with her husband and their rainbow babies, 3 year old son Jasper and 10.5 month old daughter, Scarlett.
Around the time, Jasper was up and walking, Rebecca was having trouble find shoes that fit him comfortably, weren’t restricting and didn’t smell. She tried solid shoes, but found they were tight and uncomfortable, she tried sandals but they weren’t suited for winter, she also tried shoes of a similar concept to BigToes but found his feet would develop an extremely pungent smell which she could not wash out, and also the soft sole sat over his ankle which was rubbing and causing blisters.
She knew exactly what she needed but couldn’t find them in Australia so decided to look overseas. Rebecca soon developed a great relationship with a small business in South Korea Atelier (now BigToes Inc.) and was sent a pair of their shoes to trial.
These shoes were exactly what she was looking for, barefoot feel, scientifically developed, 100% non-toxic materials used, glue-free (which she soon learnt mitigated the smell issue they were having in other shoes), lower sole so it did not rub on her sons chubby little ankles and cause him any discomfort.
The whole family fell in love with these shoes especially Jasper who wore them all over the Gold Coast. They went to Movie World, Wet and Wild, the beach, day care, playgrounds, and they were slippers around the house on cold mornings. After sharing these shoes with some more parents and receiving the same raving reviews, Bec knew these shoes needed to be available for other Aussie parents and babies/toddlers and BigToes Australia was born.
Bec and BigToes Australia offer a great product (that your toddler will love) and wonderful personal service. They are huge supporters of other small business owners and mum’s in business. For all these reasons we highly recommend you support BigToes Australia and check out their online store. All the BigToes Australia details are below including a very kind offer from Bec, Jasper and Scarlett for Fun Things for Toddlers followers.
