Elf On A Shelf Ideas and Inspiration

Elf-On-A-Shelf-Ideas

It’s the first of December and I have given my toddlers a 1st of December Christmas Box with An Elf on a Shelf…

Yep I have jumped on the Elf Bandwagon.

What’s It all About

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition where an elf is sent to your home from the North Pole to encourage kids to behave themselves. The idea is that Santa’s little helper watches the children by day, and each night, it returns to the North Pole to report on whether they were naughty or nice.

It’s Not Cool to Touch The Elf

Santa advises that no family member touch their Elf on the Shelf, but he does describe a few rare instances when an adult may use tongs or potholders to help an elf in an urgent situation. … If this happens, a parent can use potholders to help them back onto their post.

How It Works

After you get your elf, he or she will need to make an introduction and his first visit. After that every day in the lead up to Christmas Eve he or she makes the kids smile by doing funny things around the house, hides in the house and sometimes brings little treats. This lasts until Christmas Eve as the Elf “flies home” with Santa.

If you have also jumped onto the Elf Bandwagon I have compiled photos of easier and less messy daily ideas for your Elf and your toddler…
